Service Describtion

This provided service covers customs declaration of postal mail that was imported directly from other countries into the UAE via the UAE Postal Office.

Required Documents

Invoice (Mail Packages) - Packing List - Certificate of Origin

Service Procedures

1- Mail is transferred from postal employee to a customs inspector.

2- Mail contents are searched in the presence of the owner or representative.

3- If mail contents meet exemption requirements, or do not contain restricted or prohibited items, they are released to the owner without a customs declaration.

4- If customs fees are required, the package will be released after payment of fees and the issuance of a customs declaration.

5- If the package contains restricted goods, it will be transferred to the applicable parties for the required permits. If permits are refused, the package will be confiscated by Ajman Ports & Customs.

6- If the package contains prohibited or goods different from the packing, a seizure report will be filed.

7- In the case of non-declaration or seizure, details are documented and goods are transferred to storage.

This provided service covers customs declaration of goods that were imported with the intention of re-export (complete re-export or part re-export) to other countries. An insurance fee is paid or a guarantee that is equal to the applied customs tariffs on the goods instead of customs fees.
